All Inclusive Approach to Community Engagement

Abstract
Effective community engagement is more complex today than it was only a few years ago. For plans and programs of all sizes and types, a comprehensive approach to public engagement is critical. New techniques, such as pop-up events, comment videos, and social media should be implemented to complement traditional tools, such as public meetings, in order to effectively engage the public, manage controversies and develop strategic communication plans.
